How is 4.65 imperfect? You know nothing about his school or courses he took. 4.65 is pretty dang high. He might have extracurricular activities. I’m sure MIT cares about extracurricular with a 1250 and 600 in math.

LSU doing the same shite. Past 2 classes most diverse of all time. Not saying they reject a kid with 1590 on SAT but they’re not far behind on the insanity scale. They lowered the acceptance standards to get more diverse.

If he was POC, he would get the Brinks truck backed up to any college he wanted. Interview, extracurricular, gpa or not.

Probably not. Those listed elite colleges have more applicants with extremely high SAT scores than they have slots in their incoming freshman classes. They have to reject a number of applications of applicants with extremely high SAT scores because they can't admit them all. And the elite colleges also have to admit some art and humanities students in order to fill out all of their programs.
The question is whether this guy was offered admission to any elite schools. If he has educational opportunity, he is no better or worse off than anyone else.

It’s a bullshite process at this point if you don’t fit into certain boxes. My son has a 3.9 unweighted over 4. Something weighted and a 32 on his act and was rejected by schools that his scores historically get into easily. The test optional schools have been the worst because they aren’t even hiding it.. Schools flaunt demographics like schools used to flaunt famous alums wearing demos like a badge of courage Especially the alphabet peeps.
