Never ceases to amaze me that people just have no clue what is actually in flood water. This is not just rain from the sky...this is raw sewage, garbage mixed with stagnant water, rain water, busted plumbing pipe contents, ground debris, animal carcasses etc etc etc.
(i.e. bourbon street during mardi gras)

but by all means have fun

...there's a good chance it's NOT mulch.

The whole colony masses around the queen and they float until they hit something solid (or something solid hits them).

Did it often as a kid.... Jefferson Parish playgrounds were the best for it...

Canoed around my neighborhood in high school when it flooded. Was fun as hell. Tipped canoe over like 10 yards from final destination. About a half hour later I was in the shower with a full body rash scratching my back with a giant fork it was itching so bad.

I don't frick with flood water anymore.

One time when Monticello subdivision flooded, there was a guy riding a unicycle down the street. Still one of the damndest things I've ever seen.
