Yea Army and National Guard recruiters contacted me constantly when I first got out.
When I got out in 05, I answered the call of the govt contractors. Tax free $$, I was like hell yeah I'll go back for 3 times the pay

I retired from the Air Force and had a long, distinguished career. If I could go back, I would not consider switching branches and would stick with the Air Force. My only regret was separating before returning to active duty. If I could turn back the clock, I would have stayed in.

What's your dream outcome?
Are you smart enough to be allowed to choose training beforehand?
Degree?
Wanna be a fireman?
Navy expects more.
More and perfect.
Air force will probably not be giving you a speech about how it's a good day to die.
Warrant officer categories abound in army.
Do real research.

if you just wanna learn a trade and go to college after,do the navy nuke program.
fc and et aren't bad options either. your time in the military will have more to do with your job than branch of service.
if only signing up for four years, air force would be better if you just wanna learn a trade.
if you wanna shoot shite and blow stuff up, try seals. if you aren't sure about that, join the marine corp infantry and give recon a try. if you're dead set on army, try getting a ranger contract or at least unassigned airborne.
all depends on what you want to do, then decide what branch.

Army or USMC, unless you want Naval SPECWAR.
the Chair Force can get fricked. IMO, of all the branches the USAF seems to treat enlisted as actual second class citizens compared to officers.
Go combat arms. It's the only time in your life you can play with, train with, and employ the most capable, most badass, most destructive firepower in the history of mankind.
You need to be out of the hatch when the main gun fires on an Abrams; or part of the crew when rounds are sent from a 155mm; or do hard target interdiction with .50cal. You need to be in combat, not experiencing it as some distant echo.
Take 4 - 5 years and soak all of that in. If you just don't like it, take the most lucrative GI Bill in history and go to school and bang as many hot, stupid chicks as you can - and they don't want to hear that you 'deployed' to Kuwait in the fricking postal unit.
After a few years, if you do like it, apply for one of the many scholarship programs the military offers from regular ROTC to FLEP for law school to nursing degrees, get the degree, get the commission, finish your 20.

USMC, six years now, regret nothing. There’s shitty times and there’s great times, but it’s worth it.

I wish I would have done it. My neighbor isn't even 40 yet and he's a retired Army Ranger and gets 60K a year tax free on top of a really good job, free insurance for his family, unbelievable discounts for any state college for his kids, and all kinds of other great perks. He has also has two degrees paid for by the military.

Have never considered that but I'm also a very poor swimmer.
They will fix that for you, a whole bunch of people enter the Navy who cant swim a lick
Or just go submarines... ain't no swimming away on a boat. Michael Phelps could be on board and if that bitch goes down he'd be just as fricked as the rest of us.

Funny, I never experienced that during my career. Most of the senior enlisted, especially E8 and E9s were respected, even by the Officers.

I was enlisted in the Army, went to night school and after getting a degree went to OTS in the Air Force. Best years of my life. Army was more militarized, Air Force more technical but really great guys in both. I am retired now and miss the camaraderie to this day. Join up young man. As long as you aren't an attitude issue you will love it. Good luck and God speed....

Navy 6 years, best decision I ever made, was 19 at the time, 34 now
Eta: nuke on carrier, 2 of my years was schooling, think about Navy man, take asvab, get a solid score and go nuclear navy
