I love the current AMG cars, but I much rather the older ones where the "63" nomenclature was accurate. That 6.2 V8 is my favorite V8 ever.

ETA: I may be wrong upon further investigation...they still make the 6.2? Thought they switched to a smaller twin turbo V8...

Um, both look badass to me. I drive a 2007 truck with more dents than a steel target at a shooting range.

That's damn strong! I just have a regular 335I with MPPK.. Ive hit 4.6 on 0-60. But thats with power kit. I couldn't wait another year for the M3 but now that they're here...you know.

I have a love/hate relationship with my BMW. I love the way it looks and drives.

But I've found the materials used in it compared to other luxury makes are very much subpar. And shite breaks. All the time.

I agree to an extent and to me it's because they all look the same. I'm a nut for design minutiae and even I have a hard time differentiating between an A4 and A8 sometimes. Aside from some very minor things the only difference between an A3, A4, A6 and an A8 is size.

From an ergonomics and sensible design standpoint nobody does the inside of a car better than Audi.

The SLS was the last holdout of the 6.2 but now that they've ceased production it's officially no more. 4.0L TTV8 for the smaller cars and they'll continue to evolve the 5.5L TTV8 for the bigger stuff.

Little wonder they use it in the R8.

Not the same V8 at all but ok. Don't like the way those things drive at all. Front end feels like it's a mile away from the drivers seat. 50:50 weight distribution is a great feeling in a BMW.

I'm aware. 345 for S4 duty versus 430 in the R8. It's totally worked over. I was just referring to the fact it's the same basic 4.2L 32V DOHC layout.

Makes me sad. The 6.2 was the GOAT benz motor imo.

What's the point of buying a luxury sedan if you can't even get out of the bottom tier price range?

Its not in the bottom tier because it sucks, its cause its small. I don't want a bigger, heavier 5 series or 7 series.
