Go to Daily Bread on Florida and get some Stone Free. You're welcome.

Try 1/4 tsp of baking soda (Arm & Hammer) in glass of water. It should relax your kidneys.

Grateful I went to the ER.
Passed blood then it started hurting like crazy. Got to hospital, doc gave me pain meds then took cat scan. Found a tumor in kidney, which was removed four weeks later.
Only the second time in docks career that a stone alerted to cancer.

This thread has me lost... I have never known anybody who had a kidney stone... are they this common???... honest question no joking what so ever... is this just a white people thing???

I don't know if it's just a white people thing, but they are pretty common. I had one a few years ago. It was 3mm, hurt like a bitch, neither morphine nor dilaudid helped. Luckily it passed a few hours later.

I just googled your white people question:

Anyone can get a kidney stone, but some people are more likely than others to have them. Men get kidney stones more often than women do. Kidney stones are also more common in non-Hispanic white people than in people of other ethnicities.

I caught mine intending to have it analyzed. I never did, but I never threw it away either. Wanna see it?

I remember passing one about 15 yrs back. Would up sitting on the floor of the bathroom after that was passed. That's how painful those little bastards can be.

The beer and water suggestion seems good. If you are needing to work Mon am switch from beer to coffee.

It one of those is as big as your claiming youa need to go to the hospital. Years ago they used lipotripsy (sp). Not sure what they do now.

I had a 9mm job that started moving, the pain was unbelievable. I also found out that I’m immune to morphine (that sucked).

I eventually did lithotripsy but one of the fragments was still 3mm and took 10 days to work it’s way through. During that time the best pain relief was 500mg of ibuprofen equivalent.

When the big piece passed the 7 other chunks were close behind. Good thing I wasn’t peeing in the yard, I might have shot the dog.

I’ve also spoken to multiple mothers who said that passing a stone was worse than childbirth.

I've got an old RX bottle with about 15 of them in it and only one or two are that small. Most are 3-4 time bigger and hurt like hell when I had them moving through my system and peeing them out was one of those "OH frick" moments and hoping like hell they didn't get stuck midway out.

Serious lower back pain on left side, can’t lay down. It’s tolerable to sit up but tightens up even then too. Had some bloating that has gone down a bit so I thought it was just gas at first. Any recommendations out there?

Morphine. I used to get them when I was a competitive cyclist. frick that shite. Get some opiates. Go to the ER if you have to.

(edit)One time I had pains from kidney stones so bad I couldn't put pants on. I walked into the ER with a towel loosely around my waist, and locked everyone out of the ER public bathroom and laid down on the floor until they called me back.

I watched a buddy of mine go through this and he looked like he was absolute freak show in so much pain. His sister also went through it and she said she understood then why some people say it's worse pain than childbirth.

After that, I made it a habit to drink at least 3-5 pints of water each day. Hydration is your best friend in ensuring you never come across this beast.

frick pissing barbed rocks out of your dick.

The pain went from my back around to my front and then to one of my testicles. Felt like it was in a vice grip. Tried to pass for a week and then lipotripsey . I had been sober for about ten years and concerned about the pain pills but took them and stopped when it was over w/o a problem. Hang in there bro!

What do you do if that happens, squeeze it out like squeezing the good stuff out of a link of boudin?

ETA: Or do you go fishing for it with a metal probe, like that scene in Deadwood?

Oh hell no. Have you not seen what a kidney stone looks like. If not, here's how mine look. They are cylindrical for the most part and the exterior has the texture of an asteroid, all jagged and pockmarked.

You try to squeeze that thing out and you're doing some serious damage to the urinary tract.

I had one almost get stuck only one time and I could feel it going very slowly through my manhood, unlike all the others I had that shot out. Luckily I had an ample supply of urine still needing to exit my bladder and it made its way out, but I was scared shitless it wouldn't make it for a while.

I must be immune to morphine too, because they said they gave me two double shots and it didn't do shite. They followed that with two shots of dilaudid and it didn't do shite either. All that did was make me vomit later.

The pain only subsided after the stone passed a few hours later.

frick I couldn't imagine. I was worried about peeing mine out, but luckily I hardly felt it.

Drinking tea all day tends to result in kidney stones for many.

I am a big believer in the water thing myself. I have passed one and NEVER want to do that again in this life time.
