i refused to believe i was eating spinach the first time i had a fresh spinach salad.
i grew up eating that nasty green shite out of a can and simply could not believe the tasty green leaves on a salad had any remote connection to that shite.

Thinking poodoo ducks were not good to eat. My dad never let us shoot them when we were younger because he said they were not good to eat. Got older, shot some and ate them and they are pretty good. Now, I kill them when I can.

I've been saying "Nip it in the butt"
About a year ago, I was told it's "Nip it in the bud"
But I like "Nip it in the butt" better, so I still use it.

Here's one I'm still not even sure about. Ever since I saw Dumb and Dumber I assumed the blind kid's last name was 'enforcie'.
Apparently, and there have been several lengthy discussions on the M/TV board about this, it's actually Billy, in 4C (the apartment number). That had never, ever occured to me until someone mentioned it on the board. I'm still sticking to my guns though. It's enforcie dammit.
Other ones that I am sticking to my guns about:
That Harry says he is going to "throw this damn purse in that damn pond." Others say it is curse, but I believe he says purse because he is dumb and doesn't know the difference. Also, it foreshadows that there will be money in it.
The other is when Lloyd says "Harry, you're alive. And you're a horrible shot." Some people say he is looking at the bullet holes above the head of Nicholas and telling Harry that he is a horrible shot. I think he is telling Nicholas that he is a horrible shot because he didnt actually kill Harry. (Once again, back to being dumb and getting confused. Harry hadn't yet revealed the bullet proof vest.)

In highschool, I thought when people said 420 that they meant they were getting out of after school detention because it ended around 4:20.

I thought for the longest time that bird nests were the only nests in trees. When I found out that a lot of nests I see are squirrel nests, I lost it.

A few years back I ordered thigh (Thai) chicken something and got a rousing laugh from everybody at the table.
I then learned that Thai is pronounced like (tie). I felt like an idiot.

Can someone explain to me why when I drive through small towns with signs that say:
"Speed Radar Controlled"
I still have to use the gas pedal to control my speed?
