Yea I get that... what I mean was the layout is just generally terrible. It's got two main sections... the actual tap room which when more than 6 people talking is deafening and the world most uncomfortable assortment of steel furniture, and the warehouse...which is just a muggy warehouse. I find it really hard to hang out in either

forgot about the old waterworks museum, as well. That's cool.

Yep.

Gator and friends, although maybe not in july (hot, animals wont be as fun)

Norton is most underrated museum in the south. The grounds are gorgeous any time of year.

Seriously, I only been to Shreveport 3 or 4 times.. Had relatives who once lived there. In my experience it sucked.

I recommend skipping Gators and friends as it smells like shite there, literally and the llamas will spit on you (seen it first hand).

I'd take a tour of La 3049 to Gillam/Hosston and take in the farm country fiews. Probably some sunflowers up there too, had the Sunflower Festival a few weeks ago, i.e. can take pics, etc.

The gardens around Norton are very nice, I've yet to enter the art gallery.

It's in North Louisiana, that's not possible.

We are coming over from Calhoun. (between West Monroe and Ruston)

Any Idea where the fireworks will be along the river and where we need to go for best viewing?

The fireworks are set off in the river right in front of the outdoor amphitheater.

Downtown Bossier.
That’s where we go every year.

Flying Heart Brewery in Bossier serves their beer and also has a full bar. They serve pizza and salads and other stuff on a limited menu. It’s a family friendly environment where you can play games with your kids and drink some pretty good beer.

And, if you don’t want to go to a brewery, across the street there’s L’Italiano, best frickin Italian food in the area and I will fight whoever that says otherwise.

No.

It’s in the river. It’s just as good of a view, but less people.
