I live in The Woodlands area. Depending on how early y'all want to wake up on Saturday, the best BBQ in the world is right off of I-45, Cork Screw BBQ. they open at 11 but if you want to get a decent place in line to get guaranteed a choice for any meats you want, you'll have to get there around 7-7:30 AM. It is so worth it.

My favorite brewery is in Conroe, its called Southern Star, idk their hours off hand but for $20 you get 3 beers on tap and keep the pint glass. If you're a fan of dark beers, their Bury the Hatchet Stout is one of my favorite, its very comparable to Guinness.

If you need more details just ask

Yeah NY, LA, and Chicago are still better, but Houston is way beyond chain restaurants in strip malls now.

A lot of people are writing about the fusion of cuisines found in Houston being the next big thing.

There is a lot of good things to do in Houston but it's not one of the great restaurant cities.

Houston is a great city, unfortunately most people on here will give it a hard time because they only go or live in the suburbs.

they're jealous as hell too.

Rice University closeby is beautiful,

and underrated IMO. Some of the best meals I've eaten in Houston have been in little restaurants around that university.
