" A walk is as good as a hit!"
"Good try. You'll get 'em next time" after strike out.

I always wanted to yell to my son, "You'll never be as good as your brother!"

it would be funny watching what he does knowing he does not have a brother.

When I was 11 or 12 I had a terrible attention span. Being reminded to keep my eye on the ball was actually sometimes helpful.

Watched coaches brawl over a LL fball game. One coach thought he heard another say hurt #7 who happened to be his son. Coach took exception to that and fists flew. One banned for life. Told the Director who was away for the day. The very next Tuesday during a flag football game a kids trip over each other one gets hurt. Parent thinks it's intentional and mouths off to the other parent. Within 30 seconds its a pistons/pacers malice at the palace. Kids screaming and crying while 30 something parents are throwing haymakers and staff including the director and I trying to make them stop. Parents are fricking the worst sports spectators.

Some of the dads/moms take the shite way too seriously. Buying tennis shoes to match the team's colors and shite.

I like track meets the best. My cousin's daughter runs with my son at the same playground and we bet a buck on each race.

Sometimes I can walk out of there with $25 and treat my so to lunch afterwards!

I got so god damn tired of hearing "keep your eye on the ball"

I had an obnoxiously loud coach in Babe Ruth league that did this incessantly. Drove me crazy because he'd keep it up while I was at bat and I couldn't focus. I struck out once and while still at the plate, I muttered "I wish you'd shut the frick up." Ump heard me and threw me out the game. When I got to the dugout, coach asked me what I did and I told him, "Nothing really, just told you to shut the frick up."
