That two miles of highway only comes within about a half mile of Jeanerette according to Google maps. I may be wrong but they don't seem to have jurisdiction and are pulling you over illegally.
So someone that is breaking the law is pulling you over with an implied threat of violence to take your money. What is a brother to do?

Same exact thing happened to me a month ago, only my ticket cost $266 and it will go on my record. I was on the phone and didnt realize the speed limit went down to 65. I had the cruise set at 76 in the 70 before reaching that point.
