What does Lincoln have to do with Lee's statue?
Lee was a traitor, and he doesn't deserve statues in public places. We've treated his reputation better than Benedict Arnold and neither of them deserved what they got.
Learn from his lessons, learn from his command certainly, but he was an enemy combatant in a bloody war. He doesn't deserve statues. That was the daughters of the Confederacy that needed that to feel better about their history.
