It’s definitely time someone learned about the lily white movement. What you talk about is far from a partisan issue.

Stop looking for a boogeyman to blame, Black people are their own worst enemy.

If you want to improve Black people's lives, then get rid of "Black Culture".

Your problems are of your own making, stop with the racist, paranoid delusions, it makes you look weak and stupid.

I think what’s happening is you have business/political leaders (aged 55+) who are still in charge of things, and are deathly afraid of trolls on Facebook and Twitter, and are making hasty, and stupid decisions on many things right now, simply based on the internet.

Remove the statue, nothing has changed because of it. History can’t be unwritten.

But these people aren't Virginians. They're from New York, and Massachusetts. They're from California. They're not taking down statues their ancestors put up, they're destroying the statues that Virginians erected, in memory of the dead, more than a century ago.

We didn't change our mind about anything

Not surprised to see that you don't understand what this is really all about.

shouldn’t be difficult. They thought a rock on Wisconsin’s campus was racist and had it removed.

I'll start the movement. The thing is an eyesore in one of the most architecturally unique areas of campus.

But seriously, I have no doubt Bear Bryant is on their list- that's when this gets really interesting

Why did he have a statue in the first place?

To remind black people of their place.

Good riddance.

In the words of Charles Barkley,
“I’ve always ignored them!” he said. “Rick, I’m 54 years old. I’ve never thought about those statues a day in my life. I think if you asked most black people to be honest, they ain’t thought a day in their life about those stupid statues. What we as black people need to do: We need to worry about getting our education, we need to stop killing each other, we need to try to find a way to have more economic opportunity and things like that. Those things are important and significant. You know, I’m wasting time and energy if I’m screaming at a neo-Nazi, or saying ‘Man, you’ve got to take this statue down.”

Yeah, really looks like black people thought of those statues as being put in their place.
