Tell your Doctor that you want a genetic pharmacogenomic test done. That increases the chances of you being on the right meds. There is NO reason for your Doc to do this trail and error guessing game. It may be that you won't respond to an SSRI based on your genetic makeup (SLC6A4 S/S or S/L)). If so, you could be put on a SNRI. No need to wait 8 weeks to see if you will respond when you can know in 4 days.
