It seems OP is more worried about it than most people. I just ignore it.

I don't understand why some of you think it's wrong or uncalled for or funny that people voice their opinion on an issue.
Isn't that the purpose of this site?
News and opinion ?

Good
I figured some of their sponsors would drop them.

We should all be able to disagree without being disagreeable. Most of the criticism about Kaep and others that I've seen in recent weeks has been without any sense of empathy. It has included a lot of name calling and hatred. I think most people lack basic skills in communicating their viewpoints in a way that does not attack the other side.

There's many people thinking he and the rest that are doing this deserve to lose their jobs, their sponsorships, etc. They are taking a page right out of the SJW playbook and they are too blind to see it.
Yep. It's the exact same species of outrage. People are confronted with an opinion or world view that makes them uncomfortable or angry or that somehow doesn't align with their own world view. They then lash out at it with anger and hatred and want it immediately shut down. The snowflake SJW's and "HURR MUH FLAG" crowd are obnoxious and are one and the same. Political and social discourse in this country are a joke.

I think most people think its dumb because all he is doing is kneeling on his knee instead of actually doing something to help his cause.....

To represent things the way you are is a stretch itself. People are pissed and passionate about this.
Yes, people are pissed that Kaepernick and others are deliberately shitting on basic respect for national symbols under the narrative that systematic racism and murder of blacks is taking place. So what? That's nothing more than political freedom. You suggested that this is comparable to the SJW crowd who try and ban ideas they don't like from college campuses, demand "trigger warnings" for views that they find offensive, or safe spaces where dissenting speech is removed from their presence. But right, I'm being dishonest in pointing out the two are not remotely the same.

And to further point out your disengenuous nature and lack of self awareness, that isn't "putting it nicely." It is being condescending. The least you can do is be honest with yourself even if you are unwilling to be honest with others.
No, it's putting it nicely, because I could have flat out said you are full of shite.
And pointing out the flaws in your logic is not condescending, it's critical analysis. But to a large segment of the population, critical analysis of their coddled worldview is just incomprehensible and an affront to their delicate, deluded sensibilities.

Hardly bent out of shape, its more astonishment of how people feel there is so much injustice in America.
Think its bad here? Go check out Russia, China, the middle east, and Africa then get back to me.
At the end of the day, there is no greater country of god's earth than AMERICA

And SJWs also protest businesses and demand that offensive employees be punished/fired for whatever they said or did that they perceived as offensive.
Or you know, exactly what many people are demanding the NFL/Teams do to the players who are sitting/kneeling during the anthem.

So because there are far worse places, people shouldn't strive for a better America or point out what they perceive to be issues here?

Agreed.

I am oppressed. In order to show that I no longer want to be oppressed I am going to get on my knees!

I have no problem with anybody protesting or advocating whatever they want. What makes the SJW crowd unique and different is what I mentioned above. The term "triggered" and it's derivatives is a concept entirely of their own worldview. So projecting it on others is simply fallacious. These people are seeking to stifle free speech at PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES.

The vast majority of people I know have simply called him an idiot and will have no remorse for the potential backlash he receives. But if fans want to boycott him or call for reprimand then so what? The NFL is an entertainment market driven by consumers. If you inject politics then expect political backlash. The NFL is a private entity and can manage their own internal rules however they see fit. And the market can react accordingly.
Personally I think the process of political freedom is playing out beautifully in this entire ordeal. On every side.

I mean, I don't really care personally. Just funny that those people don't see that they are taking a page out of the SJW playbook. We can agree to disagree.
But let me ask you this: If Leonard Fournette (or shite, some 3rd or 4th string black player) knelt in protest during the anthem this saturday would you want them kicked off the team/scholarship revoked? Would you support others who felt that way even if you personally didn't feel those players should be punished?

depends on what their reasons were. If they wewre doing it for some other reason then it would depend, if they were doing it because of Colin Kaepernick's reason then yes absofrickinglutly.
