i see many people that go to get sandbags and their house is on a slab. so............they put a few bags by each door to prevent water from entering. however, there's a wheep whole every 12 feet in the slab. how much good are they doing if those wheep holes are exposed? the water will stil get in through them in my opinion.

what you think?

Same thing I thought when I heard about "Dam Doors".

It doesn't matter if you prevent water from getting through the door frame, you are still flooding.

Dam Easy Flood Barriers

Sad part is, I bet they make a killing off these because most people are too stupid to realize this won't prevent your house from flooding.

well i would prevent truck induced waves

People roaring around flooded neighborhoods in jacked up F250's should be dragged from the truck and shot.

I've successfully sandbagged a bunch of houses. Most people are too lazy or not smart enough to know how to sandbag a house. It's a pain in the arse and takes 6 hours if you have an assload of help.

Don't parishes limit the number of bags you can get? It would seem pointless just to walk off with four

In ascension parish 2016 I probably filled my truck up a dozen times over the whole ordeal. If there was a limit nobody told me anything. We bagged and saved a bunch of houses.

They always limit it here, but people still wait in line every year
