Just said on the news that investigation was launched because they believe victims were targeted for a specific reason and more will come out in the coming days. I think we all can read between the lines on that

Question will be how he got the gun or if he had any suspicion of prior mental illness.

Couldn't the same be said for every mass shooter? A person has to have some type of mental "fricked up-ness" to plan an attack and carry it out shooting completely innocent people.

Maybe Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch are available as Special Counsel. They both have considerable experience with these type investigations, and I'm sure could be counted on to be totally unbiased.

The knee jerk reaction will be terrorism and lax immigration control but I doubt that's the case.
I'm guessing he was one of the Lost Boys of the Sudan. These were kids brought here in the 90s during the genocide.
Nashville was one of the cities where they relocated them. I've met some of them and they were very nice and hardworking. They had it rough too. In addition to the horrors they faced in their home countries, many of them where abused when they resettled them here, because they initially put them in some bad neighborhoods without appropriate supervision.
What happened at the church, who knows.

Exactly what I was thinking, too. Most Sudanese currently in this country are Christian refugees escaping tribal and religious genocide occurring in the Sudan. Having seen and experienced what those kids did as youths has to have affected them in ways that may not surface for years. It’s a short trip from experiencing and witnessing abject brutality to actually perpetrating it because you become somewhat unhinged.
No real winners in those situation, typically. Just uneasy survivors. ??
