Yeah b/c I remember everyone immediately quit smoking and dipping once they added the warning on the package.

quote:

It doesn't matter how big the warnings on the cigarettes are; you could have a black pack, with a skull and crossbones on the front, called TUMORS, and smokers would be around the block going, "I can't wait to get my hands on these fricking things! I bet ya get a tumor as soon as you light up!" - Denis Leary

I dont understand how people get so fat, how can you look in the mirror and accept being thouroughly out of shape.

You know what I don't understand? People who are so insecure that they have to look down on others for their body type and/or lifestyle. I bet you're either fat, or used to be fat, or you're a hey-brah who likes to do curls in front of the mirror. Either way, you're the kind of person that other people really find unlikeable.
You're a douchebag.

Meh, I actually lose a little weight when inactive. And yes thyroid conditions can affect things, but that's also relatively easy to regulate and overcome these days for the vast vast majority of people.

That seems like a lot. It probably takes that much running to burn that many additional calories alone but I doubt it takes into account how many calories your body burns for its normal functions.

With no exercise at my age gender height and weight I burn 2400 calories just sitting on my arse.

With my level of exercise/activity I burn around 3,500 a day so I could easily eat those items without doing any running. Hell I eat way more than that every day and I’m not overweight

I agree that condescending, judgmental attitudes are counterproductive. But so are acceptance and tolerating nonscientific excuses.

We are at the beginning of a health pandemic revolving around metabolic diseases. So no man is an island.

You can look down on fat people while someone in better shape is looking at you wondering why you don't do more to be in better shape. Someone with more money than you is wondering why you are content making as little money as you are. Someone that fricks hotter chicks is wondering how you are satisfied with the person you are with. Someone with more education is wondering why you don't do more to educate yourself. I could do this all day. The one thing you have in common with all of these people is insecurity and some weird fricking disease that makes you worry about other people when it has no effect on you.

I'm not insecure at all, just a regular dude who feels good about being able to do whatever physical activities I want. As earlier responses noted I am young so it's easy. And I dont care if someone is overweight, I will probably be one day, what I was speaking of is the people who get morbidly obese, such as Lizzo or Tess Holliday, and then try to glorify it. If you think that is okay for our world as a whole then Idk what to tell you.
