There is a common misconception here about stimulus checks.

People seem to be under the impression that they are "getting money back" from the government. A common thought is that this is good "because they already stole it from me in taxes." While it is true they did steal from you in taxes, you are not getting that money back. Far from it. In fact, these virus checks are actually taking more money from you in the long run. Say hello to the Fed and QE.

What does that mean? It means they are going to attempt to print their way out of this problem. This is the fundamental problem with our economy and why some of us are strongly against this "stimulus."
The money you have is now worth less because more money has been created out of thin air. Don't believe the government. If they're talking, they're lying. They are stealing from you and trying to convince you they're helping you. They're not. They are selling your future out to try and keep things under control. Specifically their control.
TLDR: You ain't getting your money back from the government. They're actually stealing from you in the future to give you a few pennies now. Don't fall for it.

I personally believe that our money is only worth something to the world because of our military readiness. The Military can be at any country's doortsep with troop support within 24 hours. The Navy's mobility is the only thing keeping it afloat.

You're complaining about free money. shut up.

Do you think the people who are excited for these checks give a single frick about any of that?
Posted on 3/26/20 at 9:19 pm to EarlyCuyler3
Thanks. I'll be sure not to deposit the check then.

Not to mention not everything about inflation is bad
I'm in year 5 of a 30 year mortgage
Please inflate the shite out everything so I can pay off my mortgage in inflated dollars over the latter half of the loan

Of course not. But maybe one person will read it and realize what's really going down here.

You're still being paid less for your work. That's not going to work out in your favor unfortunately.

Well that and all the ships, but only as long as we don't drive them into other ships.
