Better question: why is a woman expected to provide nothing to a relationship other than her holes in modern society?
Men are supposed to have zero expectations for a wife, aside from sex, on only her terms?
Any standards for behavior, role in the household, or physical appearance is deemed patriarchal.
Any standards placed on him, by her are automatically reasonable.

Also, when you check social media you cant tell the diff between single and married, moms and non moms. They all are barely wearing clothes.
Maybe its not the men but a consequence-free sexual revolution that happened.
The pill is relatively new compared to human history.

Except that’s not really true. You’ve got a relatively small number of hot/rich/both men who know they’re in high demand, and refuse to marry because they can play in a vast sea of willing women. Then you have a much larger group of men who did all the things they were told they needed to do… men with a work ethic who got skill training or an education, conduct themselves honorably, are reliable, plan for the future, etc… but can’t get a nibble because they’re not “hot”, or because they’re “boring”. Then you have a third group living on momma’s couch, slack, etc; they contrast the first group to the second group and ask “why bother? Why change? It won’t get me anywhere “.

We are going to destroy the patriarchy, tear down men and traditional roles they play, destroy the family unit, and lament "toxic masculinity",
BUT
we still expect men to provide all the things that come with what they now villainize...namely security, support, protection, income, and guidance for the offspring in the family unit, which apparently women cannot do on their own.
Makes perfect sense, right?
