Nah it was just that character. The way he always tried to stay professional and reserved when pissed off. Or when he was having serious conversations with his wife after they split but trying to keep up appearances he would just go down do basically a whisper. And the editing/production did nothing to boost it.

This is crazy. I started watching the blacklist last week, been binging a bit, just turned it off & jumped on here. The episode I just watched is his character dying & this is the first post I see. Great actor!
