Why not both? I'm doing my jacket, blanket and coat collections for the homeless for the second year in a row and next year I plan to make my mini-charity a real 501(c) non-profit. Some of us do a lot and then some and like helping. I donate time and material to animal shelters, I do the same for area churches (even though I'm a non-believer). I think we should help the less fortunate, but we should also stop the mass executions of animals for the crime of being born. Most of the blame I put on people who get purbreds and refuse to fix them in hopes of one day breeding. Yes, homeless need help, maybe next time you get a sack of clothes ready for goodwill, rather than donate them to that fake charity which sells your clothes at a profit and gives nothing back, why not give them to a real charity or better yet, hand them to the person under the overpass begging for that dollar with the holes in their shirt.
