The guy in Orlando had no communication with ISIS. He just watched their videos online. Also, he was born and raised in the US and didn’t come from over there.
The Turkey guys were sent across the border from ISIS into Istanbul to carry out planned joint attacks financed and orchestrated by ISIS directly.
I can see the difference

Not that this waters down any of the attacks you mentioned, but there are other attacks like Sandy Hook, the Colorado theatre, etc that was not influenced by any type of terrorist group.
While the one in Orlando is considered an ISIS related attack, I think it had more to do with someone who was not mentally stable, looking for a reason to attack. I think it gives ISIS too much credit saying it was a successful attack specifically carried out by the terrorist group.
To a degree, I think any ISIS sympathisers from the U.S. are people who are looking for something to be a part of. What I mean by this, is that while ISIS is committing jihad, these sympathisers who are looking to be a part of something isn't doing it strictly due to religious ideology.
With that said, if I remember correctly, I think the Fort Hood attack was a response to the US killing some top jerkoff in one of the terrorist groups right? If I recall, it was actually played down a lot considering the motivation behind it.
This isn't an excuse at all, but I think when an airport is attacked, it is perceived in a different light than attacks at "random" places.
Oh and in the US, the media has to do whatever they can to milk the attacks for everything its worth... Because they are viewer boosters.

The media's agenda is actually doing a great job of destroying this country. It's a shame we don't care
Is that because it's not conservative enough for you or not liberal enough?

No shite. Way harder to stop. You can stop 3 foreigners from entering the country, acquiring weapons, entering an airport with long guns...they look out of place and suspicious, but some guy born and raised here. Super hard to prevent.
