thus the reason you see the most despicable posters on this site trying to bash Musk for doing what he is doing.

They don't know why, they just know they need to defend the twitter employees who ran cover for the DNC.

Don't be sore, baw. I'll pitch in for us to buy you a status-LARP verification to twitter as "King of the OT".

is funny watching you groomers get all giddy over your imagined business plan that Elon has for Twitter. You have no clue about the long term plans he has. NONE.

This is very amusing. He’s owned it for like a week and yet random liberal posters on here think they have the entire thing figured out.

Twitter needed to be streamlined and saved from itself anyways, Elon will do that (or attempt) or salvage the tech into something useful for the world. Old Twitter is going away either way, and good riddance

Possibly, just not prison and still was able to maintain employment so it wasn't a dead end for me. I walked away.

As usual, the right wing isn’t fighting for fairness. They’re fighting to rig the rules in their own favor. That's what Twitter used to give them — and still does — by amplifying their content more than others.

TigerDoc is upset that the algorithmic "transparency" and "choice" team was let go.

Yep, the team is gone. The team that was researching and pushing for algorithmic transparency and algorithmic choice. The team that was studying algorithmic amplification. The team that was inventing and building ethical AI tooling and methodologies. All that is gone.

That would be an expensive project. He’s got a billy a year in interest payments from this LBO. Twitter needs to start generating some cash.
While he paid the lion's share, there are banks with billions invested as well. At some point they will have to boot him for his mismanagement, which would be super embarrassing.

I actually have not seen anything on his cap table. Rumor I saw elsewhere was that Elon put up ~$5B of his own, ~$15B from bank debt, ~$15B from other debt instruments, $5B from preferred investors (friends and family), and ~$10 - 15B from alternative asset investors (PE, VC, hedge, etc.).

WSJ published this article prior to the deal closing, but there was not a ton of detail there except for the bank debt.

Indoctrinated progressives are.

They live in a bubble. They don't know anyone on the right so they think conservatives are unicorns.

My neighbor came out of retirement (and moved from Washington to Texas) to go work for Elon at Tesla. Said you don't know on any given day if it's going to be your last day.

Just because today is the mass layoff day doesn't mean you're gonna be safe tomorrow

These clowns getting fired are the same people that pushed for others getting fired if you didn't take the Covid shot. I have zero sympathy for these loons.

Evidently. He way overpaid for the lulz of bidding based on a weed meme, then tried to claim he'd been been ripped off, then gave up and paid the "weed price" when he couldn't prove that, putting the company on the hook for an extra $1B in debt servicing annually and is now driving off advertisers and blaming it on the libs.

TigerDoc

I’m curious how Elon’s control of Twitter will impact the white liberal agenda

I like when they think the "Roe v. Wade" issue is forefront on all American's minds and not the economy. Saw someone yesterday with a "Roe, Roe, Roe your Vote" shirt on yesterday and was wondering how far out of touch that person was.

How do you know a leader is closer to machine than human?

Communicate like Musk does to his Twitter employees. Wow! You read an email that says you cannot afford your home any longer 3 weeks before Thanksgiving. Think twice about Christmas plans for your family. An email...may Musk continue to re-shape the world for the better by leading machines to deliver our future, but leadership of people he might want to leave with people who are not wired like himself.

Yikes.
