I absolutely agree. I-12 is the worst! I almost get anxiety when I know I have to drive it. Thankfully, that is not too often.

I12 from Hammond to the Miss river bridge is the worst stretch of road, as it pertains to moron drivers, ever

30 years of continued construction on I-10 and 12 but still a total cluster.
There are sections that are recently widened on I-12 that, while extremely helpful, were still foolishly designed.
For example, a continuous outside merge lane should have been installed between Juban and Range and between Range and O'Neal. That would basically ease the headache of commuter traffic flooding the highway at those spots and allow exiting traffic to duck out of the congestion early on.
Baton Rouge has those lanes on I-10 between Acadian and College, Essen and Bluebonnet, and on I-12 between Jefferson and Airline.
They also didn't include lighting or lane restrictions either. It's like they had just enough cash to get 9/10ths of the job done, but didn't really go the extra few yards to do it correctly.

n fact, there aren't any continuous east-west routes south of I-12 between Baton Rouge and Hammond. All development south of I-12 in the future will dump traffic onto I-12.

I4 Orlando. Right now is the worst section of road in America. I feel for those that have driven all day to get to Disney /Universal and then have to navigate interstate roads that turn hard left then back right multiple time. All with 4 lanes of traffic and pisspoor construction lighting

My oldest daughter is afraid of flying, so when we go on family vacations we drive. I’ve driven to D.C., Tennessee, North Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, West Texas, etc...hands down I10 through BR and I12 up until east of Mandeville is by far the worse.

On the north side, US190 is still only 2 lanes with no controls for development or curb cuts.
^This!! In Texas, a highway like 190 would be at least 4 lanes, maybe 6 in an area like the Florida parishes.

I haven't driven it in a while since moving South, but I-90 from Chicago to/from Elgin was the worst I've ever seen for crazy.
First, the speed limit the whole way was 55MPH. In free flow periods almost everybody ignores that and makes up their own preferred travel speed, which is usually a random number in between 50 and 90. Eventually people would fall in line and you'd be in a patch of traffic all driving roughly the same speed (so no risk of ticket).
But, you couldn't predict how long it would take get somewhere, because you didn't know if it was a 60MPH day or an 80MPH day.
As more and more illegal immigrants moved in, people had to start driving slower, as the illegals couldn't really risk getting pulled over so they HAD to drive 55 - and usually in the left lane from some reason.
Closer to the city, the exits would alternate between left hand exits and right hand exits, without much signage.
Then the traffic. Yeah, when you live at the edge of 40 miles of suburbs it can be a pain to get caught in it. Just checking now, there's a 28 minute delay (at 10:30AM).

Oh bullshite. There are dozens of places worse in the US. You must not have taken a very long road trip. Or have ever taken a long road trip.

Drove it last month on my way to Florida. It was bumper to bumper in all 3 lanes when this guy a few cars ahead spun a tire off his fifth wheel into the left lane. Of course the left lane was full of RVs and Semis swerving all over like a NASCAR race.
