I agree with your message. There will be a time when the wells, I assume, will run dry. However, It won't be in our lifetime. Until then we are dependent on the black gold/ Texas Tea. That's not to say that we should stick our heads in the sand (no pun intended) and not continue to seek alternative energy sources.
