re: The obesity epidemic

This topic got me thinking about all the times I’ve gone in for a physical or check up in the past decade. Most if not all the nurses were obese. The doctors not so much.
How can you perform a physical or lecture anyone on health and have a fit person take them seriously?

Working in Mississippi the last few weeks and it is striking how many fat chicks are around here. It has been rare that I have seen a fit girl. I go out to eat and it's a bunch a toothpick dudes with heifers.

Oh stop.
Not the same at all
And to add to my post
If I wanted to get chided by a nurse or physician about my health
They better be built like an ‘In their prime nfl wide receiver or a female Olympic pole vaulter
Jus sayin

I went in for my yearly physical at my doctor. I came in at 174 lbs - at 6'2". He told me flat out that I was at a perfect weight and that people were going to tell me I was too thin bc people are so large now. Sure enough, I just got a lecture from a family member on my weight. Told me I needed to eat more. Her son is probably 5'10" and close to 300 lbs.
I don't have to take any meds for cholesterol, hypertension - nothing - in my early 50s. Her son isn't even 30 yet and he'll be on everything in a few years if he doesn't trim some of that weight off.

I’m almost 50
I wish I was that
I’m 185 at about 5’11
Beer is my vice
But I’m pretty active
People think I lift weights, big arms and broad shoulders but I haven’t lifted a weight in 20 years

The only times you aren't regularly pwned on these boards is while you're banned... You aren't very good at this.
He isn't being owned and the good doc is being dishonest and using a straw man argument.
He is saying that because people regain weight, they need meds.
Which is just a way to treat laziness both from a fitness standpoint snd from a compliance stand point.
One of the biggest reasons for weight gain later in life is lack of muscle mass ftr.
Ftr no...hormones don't really matter once protein and calories are equated...hundreds of studies showing this.
I could go on and post a hundred studies showing the doc is wrong...but I have no desire to argue.
And honestly I do not care if the mess help people lose weight and the doc prescribes them. In fact if that is what it takes...then do it.

BTW both Layne Norton and menno along with Alan argon in Aarr have posted dozens upon dozens of studies showing protein and calories are all that matter and compliance is an extremely complicated issue but satiety is number 1 thing.
Glad read Alan argon research review.

Because they are the ultimate consumers, and medical science helps them live much longer than they would otherwise.

Those don't count because he doesn't like them.

Americans health would significantly approve if everyone at least walked 30 minutes each day. But that's impossible in some places.
How is that impossible in some places? All it takes is legs and the ground.

I know this is your schtick, but you couldn't be more correct. Like with anything else in life, you can be honest and un-filtered with people or go the participation trophy/its ok not to be considered a failure when you haven't put forth your best effort route.
I have yet to see one instance where the second method ever helped anyone over 5 years of age. And I cant think of a whole lot of times it helped someone under 5.

Mother fricker, you assholes need to read. Good christ.

Then why do we see such high degrees of weight-gain relapse?

You don't know anything about the compliance issue.

If everyone seemingly misrepresents your point, maybe you are bad at making it.

Where did I deny this? Give me the actual post where I said this. For the love of god, you people invent things I said, and still act like you aren't dishonest.
What I'm suggesting is literally from the clinical practice guidelines published in 2020 from the DOD/VA and Canadian guidelines, which are extensions of the 2016 AACE guidelines, which are based on position statements from 2012. But post whatever studies you want, you dumb hack.
Since you assholes are so intent on lying about what I've said, the 2018 paper on gut microbiota and the development of obesity says literally what I've said, but before I continue, I want some clarity from you assholes about what I've said and where I've said it, because it appears you dishonest fricks can't read.

Well, I don't know how you were able to get the exact opposite sentiment from a post that was literally about a patient crying from my refusal to give a med, but other than the incredible dishonesty you showed there, I'll admit I'm not the best writer, although you were the only person who seemingly could not understand that particular post, despite repeated attempts to correct you. Are we going to finally talk about how dishonest you were in using that as a defense to prevent further discussion? Or are we just going to slink away again, and wait for back-up from someone else who also puts words in my mouth?

What?
And are you ever going to post those studies that you suggested were paid for by lobbyists?

Before I correct you, I need you to try to piece together my argument, because it appears you are nearly retarded.
