people who are jealous of others eating out are poor.

Lifelong resident of BR and I couldn't agree more. I've started spending more time in Madisonville and finally totally understand why people live on the northshore. I would absolutely move my family to the northshore and drive to BR for work everyday, although I'm sure people that are from the northshore hate to hear this said...

Maybe so, but Madisonville is teeming with crime and meth labs. Best to avoid this area.

If NS is better why do people come across the causeway all day and night to work and play

That's what makes it better. I can drive 40 minutes to go see a concert yet not have to put up with all of the NOLA bullshite.

The NS has some excellent restaurants as well.

I lived my first 30 years in the city and the last 15 in Mandeville/madisonville and would not move back.

I'm not trying to argue a side. I just can't see how something is better if you have to leave for work or play.

its not "better"

It's quieter. It's not dangerous. I can own a couple of acres for a homesite if I choose.

Would you agree that some neighborhoods in NOLA are better than others, even though you may have to travel to a lesser neighborhood for your night out? Same thing. I can zip into the city for an evening and be home in 40 minutes fat enough from the crime and noise.

you can do that anywhere in the river parishes and not have to deal with causeway.

One is not better than the other if you use amenities from the other.

The river parishes are crappy. Nasty areas.

Using the amenities of Nola is but one of the reasons the ns is better. There are several others.

People who constantly talk about restaurants for a reason to live somewhere are fat and do not know how to cook. Diabeetus is real.
