What's the price tag, and is Kia a solid brand? I'm in the market for a new car and it'll be a couple months before I can realistically get one.
They start at about 33K. The reliability of Kia is extremely good now, as a brand it is rated 5th by Consumer Reports and that is ahead of Honda.
Now, keep in mind this is a 1st year car so you are going in blind regarding pattern issues that may pop up, but the warranty is excellent the basic warranty is 5/60 and the powertrain is 10/100. Add to that Kia's resell is very lack luster but may not be an issue if you drive the car until it drops.
The over the curb price remains to be seen. Kia dealers have historically been deep discounters but you have a new car with some buzz so you will probably not see deep discounts for quite a while unless they don't sell (which might be a warning sign depending on the reasoning behind it). Given it is their first car as they try to change brand perception to be the sporty arm of Hyundai so dealers may be forced to hold tight on the price.
I like the car but wouldn't recommend it for at least a year unless you just LOVE it since there are a lot of good alternatives in the price range and some that are even more expensive that if you buy a new car every 4-5 years may still cost you less to own given Kia's historic resell. If you don't need quite as much room I would suggest looking at the IS, if you can move quick enough you might be able to find a really good deal on a 2017 before they are cleared out.

Could you not just debadge the car and replace them with these?

I didn't see a picture but they do sell Kia "K" rebadge kits . I assume the Stinger will have K badges in Korea so the kits should be available very quickly.

Ahh, I didn't look for Stinger since the K badge has been around forever.

To all those that say, "It's just a KIA"
I say to you: Lamborghini started off as a tractor company. Disavowing a car maker because of past performance is akin to telling your girlfriend to never suck your dick because she was bad at it one time.

I’ll bet most of the people in here that are trashing Kia are probably driving a Ford or a Dodge.

I'd wait for the Hyundai G70 (Built on the same platform as the Stinger).

these fools on here hating on KIA and Hyundai are simply uneducated on those vehicles and what they have become.....and just cause it is a foreign company....doesn't mean that these are foreign cars....most of the Kias and Hyundais sold in the states are made in Georgia and Alabama respectively...I toured the Hyundai plant near Maontgomery...it was legit and state of the art...I saw not one Korean....and that plant has done great things fro the economy in Montgomery and the state of Alabama...same with the Kia plant in West Point, GA....I also owned a 2011 Sonata Hybrid until it flooded out and was totaled due to IRMA...that car never gave me any issues....wife loved it...she cried when the tow truck took it away....they are not what they were in the 80's and 90's.

Are we seriously still trashing Korean made vehicles/products?

Damn that G70 looks nice!
Saw a G70 sport earlier this week and was impressed, they have come a long way. Only area they are lacking is resale.

Are you sure it wasn't a G80?

take the Kia badge off and it sorta looks like a beamer to me
KIA has done that a few times where they take a lot of their styling cues from BMW...specifically the kidney grille
