i dont think this is a particularly hard concept to grasp nurse, and i have never perceived you as particularly dense. every person in a dating pool has a "value". Anyone, regardless of gender, is going to be, in general, considered of lower value as most potential partners will not want to be saddled with a kid (either at all, or one that's not going to be their own). If less people find you attractive as a partner because of whatever quality, your "value" goes down.

i mention single mothers here, because, that's what the original post is about, isnt it?. it would be a little odd if i came out of left field and started talking about single dads. I also believe single dads tend to be a little more aware that being a single parent makes them less attractive.

im not sure why you jumped to the conclusion that the father has increased value in this situation. i never stated or implied that. You made that connection on your own.
