Google safest neighborhoods in New Orleans and this the first thing to come up.

The Five Safest Neighborhood in New Orleans
Among New Orleans' many diverse neighborhoods, some are safer than others; the five safest neighborhoods in The Big Easy are as follows:

The Garden District
Uptown
Central Business District
French Quarter
Chef Menteur Highway

You realize Google bases their rankings on where you choose to get your news?

Therefore the reflection is probably showing your normal news sources lack accuracy.

Google doesn't rank the neighborhoods anyway. Someone like zillow or thrillist does.

It is sad. I stayed in the quarter last night and got breakfast at the Krystal to a crimescened off bourbon street. Guy at counter said there must have been a shooting. I said man that happened not too long ago and he says it happens every weekend. Was only a stabbing but the quarter is not close to safe anymore.

That top 5 safety ranking is from tripsavvy.com LINK

Chef Menteur and the French Quarter don't belong anywhere near that list.

I can’t even fathom going to Krystal for breakfast, let alone in NOLA.

Strong list. No problem traversing any of those areas.

I’ve only been to NOLA 2x.

Your post is the equivalent of the old far side of the dude yelling at his dog. :)
