"No, f--k that!" Retton snapped at a medic. "Put me in a cell." "Y'all are terrible. Terrible." Mary Lou was just getting warmed up. "I'll die here. I'll die here if you guys will live with that," she told the police and paramedics.

She is either drunk or crazy or both?

In West Virginia too. She even made the comment in the video. “You let Bob Huggins go”

Sloshed in the middle of the day. Good going Mary Lou!

She made a mistake and owned up to it. Leave her alone.

"I'm West Virginia's first daughter," Retton told a cop as she was being taken to the clink. "Bob Huggins gets away and, well, whatever," she added while taking a swipe at the former West Virginia basketball coach for getting popped for DUI in Pittsburgh back in 2023.

IMO, the only reason people do them is they are just hoping they can pass. Obviously, refusing means you going to jail. But yes, it’s just more ammo for the cop

I mean, she got off with a $100 fine. I've gotten a speeding ticket over five times that .

The cops deserve a special recognition and award for putting up with her B.S. She also kept taking her oxygen off and acting like a Karen.

Except it doesn't. They still need probable cause to arrest you and as for your license those are tied to submitting to a BAL test, not a subjective FST.

It's simple. No FST has ever changed a cop's mind, but most have cemented their opinion that the person is under influence even when they are not (there's a high profile case of a boy that blew 0.0 but was still arrested because the officer didn't like his fst results).

Except it does. You refuse, you go to jail. Once in jail, they’ll test you. If you’re under, they let you go…but you still going to jail.

So is the hope that your blood alcohol level gets under the limit the longer you delay?

Dangerous. But sad all around. She’s still on oxygen after recovering from a rare pneumonia that almost killed her in 2023. All parties seem to be fairly respectful.

She was drunk and is now embarrassed by her actions for which she apologized. Agree with you on the professionalism of the LEO’s.

Actually for the first couple hours after you stop, your levels increase. The thought for not doing FST’s is to not give them visuals of how impaired you are
