The key to a good ham and cheese sandwich is the right mayo/mustard mix

Now I'm a fancy boy so I like jalapeño mustard but I like a little mayo to add in to make it extra creamy. I also prefer a pickle on the side but I will take a pickle on the sandwich. Under no circumstances should you put ketchup on your ham and cheese sandwich.

I'm a classic pickle guy myself. Dill only. I don't like that bread and butter shite or any other variations.

Fascinating.

I do enjoy a smidgen of mayo on my watercress sandwiches.

Also key is that the ham must be sliced as thin as possible, practically falling apart.

Actually all deli meat should be sliced as such.

Do you use kosher ham, or will any ham do?

I do like thin ham but I like to stack it thick. I also like to situate the slice of cheese between the ham.
