I was reading this thread enjoying my hatred of the Kadashians, then I read this line. Now, I'm wondering how this is any different than my heart pounding from nerves watching LSU and Saints games. I know in society, sports are ranked higher, but if you break it down, both situations are just people taking a vested interest in a competition. I know my heart tells me to hate when my wife watches the Bachelor, but my head is questioning it now.

Yeah it's a meaningless competition that ultimately doesn't matter and most fans know this. The difference being that sports celebrates teamwork, athleticism, strategy and a million other aspects that deserve praise. The outcome of the game may not matter but those who put in the work to do as well as they could are better for it.
Kardashian popularity is based on sex tapes and general shallowness and it celebrates both.
