That was a great viewing, if you picked it up at first sight it was over Mexico, when it went out of site it was over Virginia!

You can sign up and get an email. I've been getting them for a few years and always enjoy seeing it. Brighter and moves faster than you would think. I'll find the link. Someone on this board posted it and that's how I got it.

Here it is

It will fly by again at 5am NW to SE. Again Tuesday at 8:45pm SW to N but will be hard to see.

Get the ISS Detector app it has other Satellites that fly over.

The ISS is trashy.

It reminds me of when the space shuttles would sometimes do a night landing and you could watch them re-enter the atmosphere. The ISS doesn't quite go that far, obviously, but still pretty neat to see. Thanks for the heads up.

Tuscaloosa was one minute later at 8:54 and for 6 minutes. But it's ultimate peak was only 74^

However, there will be one more, albeit brief, sighting tonight here.
At 10:35 PM for les than one minute.

Thing looks huge!
When the space shuttle would dock on it, it was even brighter.

I used to have a great telescope that I got pretty good at maneuvering. I always wanted to see if I could scope them together. Unfortunately, my telescope took a damaging spill, and I never replaced it.

Still, with tonight's passing, it looked so low in the sky, it seemed like binoculars could have viewed it in detail. I wonder if it's worth a shot. Anyone ever try?

Tried binocs tonight. Handheld with no mount to stabilize them was not a good idea.
