Being oppressive, racist, and sexist since the dawn of America yet morals are lower now?
People were beating blacks in the 50s bc they were black.
Women couldn’t have bank account until 1975.

Pretty much, I just don't see how the OP equates that stuff to morality.
Seems the author and the "peer reviewed study" seem to be confusing morals, customs and values.
