It's also a responsibility/accountability problem. We tell kids that they're having trouble learning because the initial presentation isn't tailored to their "learning style." Kids start out blaming their problems on someone else, and this is encouraged by their parents and teachers.

The truth is that in the real world you're not always going to get information the way you want it. It doesn't matter. Take the information you're given and put the time in to learn it.
