You’re delusional or completely insulated from upper middle class households and below as report after report show that all generations, including boomers, aren’t saving enough to retire.

The delusion on display

I would say that is not only delusional but mean as hell.

Where did that old boomer touch you? Did you find your wife in bed with a boomer? What exactly is your beef that is causing you to be such a mean bastard?

He’s just full of shite, everyone knows someone who struggles with end of life care, even if they saved a decent amount for retirement. shite is crazy expensive

These are both posts by you on consecutive pages. So which is it? Do you not know anyone who hasn’t saved or did your wife’s cousin not save?

Average age of a baby boomer is 70. Average life span is 78.

Real estate is going to get wild in about eight years.
That's not how it works.

Current Life Expectancy at Age 70

Women: About 87-88 years (17-18 more years)
Men: About 84-85 years (14-15 more years)
Overall average: About 85-86 years (15-16 more years)

I didn't say that. I said I don't know of anyone selling there house in order to survive in old age. Those that weren't saving enough, another thing us get dinged for, hoarding our money, are being taken care of. Thanks to the gov't there are a number of places to go.

I’ve seen many accusations of boomers, but I personally haven’t seen hoarding of money as one of them.

My attitude towards my parents (boomers) was that it was their money and they should save it or spend it as they saw fit.

My parents saved a ton of money and are now both retired and set up comfortably until the end of their lives.

Seeing many families and friends around me fight over inheritance, I hope to God my parents’ check for the casket for whomever dies last bounces

I have. Hell, I seen accusations for all kinds of shite, some of which began 100 yrs before the first boomer.

But that is all besides the point.

To get back on point OP is giddy as hell because some of the boomers are going to be in a bad financial bind when they try to sell their house.

I got pulled into the weeds. I only want to bring attention to fellow Americans enjoying the coming suffering of other Americans just because they were born into a "group".

After the Army I was a vol. fireman for 25 yrs., EMT for 6, Firechief for 6, and more. When a call came in I never asked for color, sex, or which age range they belonged to. I didn't separate then and I hate the separations now.

I'm not giddy as hell. Actually, it sorta pisses me off that Boomers are so entitled that they think equity can't be lost; it's currently being lost right now.

I actually feel bad for you, because every time you post a response to someone you show just how disconnected and delusional you are, while also acting like a victim.

And I feel bad for in that regard because it's clear that you don't get it.

OK that second one is a joke, right? The price per sqft is low but you would think they would get the picture after 431 days on the market.

You'd think.

There's a house in my neighborhood (where they actually move damned fast) where the house has been listed/on market for well over a year (hell...maybe two) and they absolutely refuse to lower the price.

Not responding to a fire based on age, creed, or race and grouping similar age people together for statistical analysis ain’t the same thing, chief

Awwww.... so now you is suddenly pissed off at us.

For someone that likes the word "delusional" it seems you reside there.

I'm a victim? FOOOCK NO. I could give my house away. The 30 acres would be enough to live on BUT I can give that away too. Then I could buy an assisted living facility. I've been saving and, more importantly, investing for a long time. I can live off of my SS + retirement and with long term care account I will live well and go out in style.

Yeah, well I'm one of those boomers that you have a laugh/hate relationship with.

So keep on separating, laughing at and hating. Enjoy it while you can. We'll be out of the way soon.
