I meant the math doesn't work.
After reading Jarrett's story it sounds a lot more believable and simpler. I have to believe most of his is the real story and Zola is just trying to exaggerate for obvious reasons.

This whole thing could be an elaborate setup, but the two disparate accounts are pretty corroborating with some detail changes--not unusual when dealing with junkies etc with motive to paint themselves in more positive light. Overall, the two stories sync about as well as any two regular life accounts one might hear.

I guess I can agree with that (just posted on it). Overall the stories are pretty well in sync, with more or less detail included for reader/writer benefit. The kid is clearly a bitch and an unmarried cuckold, his girlfriend is clearly a whore, "z" is clearly a ruthless pimp, and the sequence of events are pretty close. Maybe Z bang Jess in front of him, maybe he later saw it on a phone. The themes check out. I'm just cruious as to whether or not anyone can find public records (arrests, convictions, details, etc) to support the heart of the account.
