Spent some time in south TX for work. Got offered to stay out there. Turned it down immediately. It sucked hard.

Where you enjoy living is very subjective. Some people enjoy the beaches and warm weather, others the mountains and snow, others hunting and fishing and for some being near family is the most important thing in life. It's an entertaining discussion but it really is an endless one.

No. I moved here in 2001 for work in the plants, and they, do pay better (Houston)...but I paid 6k, property tax on a 163k house. About 4.2, anyway I would love to be back home. Concrete city here with 4.5mm peeps only registered in the greater Houston area.

After living in Toledo for 2 yrs, Texas was great for some tex me, parents and semi seafood!
