Anybody know about the Industriplex/ Exchequer area?

The house I lived in 2 months ago just got evacuated. Wow.

My parents live off in the mollylea/ sharp area. Had to wade in this morning to help my dad elevate as much contents of the house as possible before they were boated out. The water was about 15 from the door as of 10 am. If any knows how much the water has risen from Jones Creek in that area info would be much appreciated.

Yea it is. Seems like everywhere is going at least three feet above record.
8' is the slab at my dad's place. He had about 9-10 maybe before it is in the house. I would imagine the boat house is gone. Will update if I get anything, but I just hope he got out at this point.

Anyone got anything on the area south of Broadloomr Middle, between Sharp and Sherwood Blvd? Was confirmed ok as of this morning, but haven't heard anything since.
I saw scattered flooding in that area this morning.

Grimes just showed Manchac crest tonight instead of Monday. Good news?

is there cell phone/internet coverage in the area around Jones Creek Rd and George O'Neal/Coursey?

They just raised the projected crest at Port Vincent a foot to 17.5.
Those crest times appear to be moved up quite a bit as well. Bayou Manchac is now projected to crest at 1 AM Monday morning. Port Vincent is projected to crest at 7 AM.

I sat in on a lecture he did at LSU around 2002 where he warned of Katrina happening. Forgot the previous storm, but he showed exactly what happened with Katrina. Warned of MRGO and several other things.

I'm not recommending anybody do that, just trying to explain the thought process.
I mean someone can try to rationalize it, and if you're right and the water doesn't come into your home, great. My point was just that the worst case scenario is soooo much worse if you stay home.

riarwood is dry for now. I'm very concerned about Ward Creek backflow but thats likely an overnight issue.
Thank you. That's been my concern as well. Hoping like crazy it doesn't back flow into the neighborhood.

But were not talking about multiple feet inside of homes, are we?

He was the other one leading the lecture
Didn't know who Ivor was at the time obviously. Grimes had just come on the scene for TV

Grimes was my professor for a geography class at LSU. He's a major dick and class was difficult but interesting. Dude knows about weather.
