Is there flooding on the west bank of the Mississippi? Brusly plaquemine area. Leaving prairieville to head to breaux bridge and thinking of just jumping over the sunshine bridge.

Apparently there is a levee breach in st amant if that hasn't been mentioned. Anyone around 431 should look into this and see if you need to leave.

whether to stay or go now. These bridges and roads are going to get cut off very soon, and travel around south Baton Rouge won't be possible.

They should go.

If you have a truck or an SUV, go. If you don't, find someone who does.

I barely made it out. Had to cut through the Starkbucks parking lot and drive on sidewalks and damn near got stuck.

If I had a smaller vehicle I wouldn't have made it

So hard to believe this has barely been covered outside of BR. Weather Channel is running a show about planes crashing, and national news channels are going with election programming. It's like nobody knows what is going on

Anyone have any news on Briarwood. It's off of Airline near Pecue. Haven't been able to reach my parents.

Briarwood for the most part is ok right now, however I think the worst is still ahead. The ponds are pretty high in the back and the houses adjacent to them could have some issues.

This is what is about to head down Bayou Fountain when the crest reaches the correct place.
