I just received a report that 3/4 of Creek Round Avenue in WOL is under water.

My parents house is inches away from water coming in. The back-half of Creek Round Avenue, almost all the houses have water in them.

My buddy had to evac last night, times like this it pays when your neighbor has a Duce and a half. Water was 9ft, you can see the headlights under water. They even made the news.

Finally found some internet, so I apologize if this was covered a few pages back..

Is anyone else's AT&T cell phone not working? Mine shows no service, but my neighbor's verizon phone is working fine.

In laws live on Salisbury drive in the avalon neighborhood off Millerville. Water is in houses down the street and still rising. It's very close to their house. Can't get through to them over AT&T. They are older but FIL is capable.
Anyone have any numbers they can call besides 911? Im not sure I can get to them from Thibodaux.

How is Chadsford closer to Spotsylvania, near St. Michael?

No idea I'm on other side. It looked bad going up Chadsford towards St Michaels though looking from this side.

Yes, AT&T service is down for a large amount of people.

the magic number is 21.5

Sorry, this is all foreign to me. 21.5 is the Magic number for what? What's the number at now? I see WAFB running a bunch of numbers on the news for river levels, crest levels, projected levels, etc. Is there currently a projected level relative to this 21.5 number you keep posting?

Again, the magic number is 21.5

Any way to find out the elevation of Bluebonnet vs Burbank? At Bluebonnet, Bayou Fountain was at least a couple feet below street level, while Burbank was almost at street level when I rode past a little while ago.

Thanks. that is extraordinarily fricked up, but thanks.

I have a backup plan if power goes out. Backup plan if internet goes out. Backup plan if the world is on fire.

But if my cell service goes out? frick me, it's the dark ages.

Can anybody tell me how the area is on corner of Stumberg/Coursey. My elderly MIL is there right now and because of AT&T, have no way to get in touch with her.

Just talked to my dad who confirmed what appears to be backflow happening in Azalea Lakes (Hoo Shoo Too/Old Jeferson). Said the lake drain is flowing back into lake right now.

Here are some ariels of Old Jeff at Manchac. Manchac crossing old Jeff.

21.5 is the forecasted crest elevation of the Amite at Manchac Point. That's the elevation the backwater COULD rise to in all of the creeks/bayous that connect to Manchac. But the dynamics of this backflow are difficult to predict without a hydraulic/hydrologic model and study. The water actually has to move up through these creeks and bayous, which takes time.

There are a couple of streets in Shadows Oak that are not true about on roofs regarding that report. Are definitely some areas getting hit bad but not everywhere per one person in the subdivision. Don't know about other areas of the subdivision. Obviously trying to get through to another person
