Was there a better commercial to promote Crossfire when you were a kid? Commercial made it look so awesome but the game itself got boring after a few times. Kids these days would laugh at these games. Lol.
CROSSFIRE
Honorable mention...
TALKING BATTLESHIP

Not the overall GOAT, but as far as throwing the football as a kid,it’s Vortex then a K2. Yes, there were others toys I enjoyed more and had cooler commercials, but as far as playing with friends at recess or friends houses, Vortex was a must. You could throw that bad boy a mile at any age.

That's a good one. The vortex was awesome

I haven't seen that commercial in years yet I somehow remember it vividly. They must've aired it millions of times or something if an AC commercial stuck with me the long or maybe the chick was so hot (pun intended)

fricking Bigwheel.
Bigwheel
The finest toy for a child ever made. It gave you your first taste of freedom of transport, you jumped you frost jumps in it, it had a damned skid plate for drifting, and even when the main wheel was no longer intact it would still get you to where you were going.

This was the best commercial ever. They made it look so badass
All of the nerf commercials.
It's not a toy or game but the capri sun commercials where they turned into silver goo worked on me & I would ALWAYS want to grab a pack when we went grocery shopping.

really wanted one of these fricking air conditioners from Sears.
"I'll call now"
I swear I saw this commercial over 1,000 times easy growing up.

We had this exact game - Chiefs/Vikings Superbowl IV - Tulane Stadium New Orleans.
Commercials made it look great. I could hardly sleep on Christmas night because I was so excited. It turned out to be pretty stupid to be honest. The eBay auction for the one shown is listed at $500.

G.I Joe with the jeep and working spot light on a trailer was pretty good. Clackers and lawn darts. Rock em Sock em robots.

I had this. Not only was it boring after the first 2-3 times, it was loud as hell.

The ‘Demolition Derby’ T-Racers were the absolute shite.
Kids from the late 70’s know what I’m taking about.
T-Racers were already cool (I had a metallic gold El Camino), but when the came out with the ‘Demolition Derby’ set, with ramps and other crap, and hoods and doors came off when they collided.... little dudes minds were blown!
Watch this shite....
