No doubt that race is a factor for some supporters of StG, just like race is a factor for some of the opponents.
As for the school taxes...if StG succeeds and if the new school district is established, its citizens will no longer be paying for EBR schools, so you have to first consider that those same taxes going to StG school district may mean that an increase in taxes will not be necessary (remember, the high end property, plus MOL and PR) will be in StG.
Not saying you are wrong, but it's not a "given"

Do you honestly believe race has no bearing on the SG efforts? Really?
Yeah. I believe EBR schools suck enough to be the sole motivation.
Unlike you who's convinced it HAS to be racist motivated. Do I have to go back and quote when you said it didn't matter what anyone said, it was racist?

Schools are done with.
Too many people making money to care about the kids. Bus mfg companies, fuel companies, lawyers, special interest groups.
I remember riding on a plane with one of the old school board leaders that was for private meetings. He told me I should have no say in the school board having closed meetings.
If people cared about the kids they would go back to neighborhood schools.
I am for the white, black, Asian, Green/Pink/poakdot kid's parents that want a to have their kids have a fair shot at an education without getting on a bus at 5:30 am and getting off the bus at 5:30 pm.

Yeah. Good luck convincing families that private school is more economical than the potential sg tax increases.

I see the leading local governmental official opposing it is white. I'm white. Most of my friends are white. They all oppose it.
Please explain how it would hurt blacks if SG happened. I'm referring to BR city blacks. Of course. It would hurt SG area blacks. Their voting strength would be greatly diluted.
Which brings up the issue of would the US Justice Dept even allow a new city if it that did that? The lawyers will probably get rich arguing that question.

Just as you have consistently done, your attempt at asking insincere "gotcha" questions adds nothing.

And you're a race-baiting ignoramus. St. George is 40% minority. Its not some arian-city of dreams.

The only racist person I see here is you.

So, yeah. It doesn't add a lot, but neither does your racist bullshite.
Keep bringing up how everyone is racist, and how everyone that calls you out on it is insincere.
I'm sure that will win everyone over.

Do you people not realize that wanting good schools is not directly correlated with white/black?

Keep digging Mr. International Businessman. Everyone sees past you. You only have the race card left. Oh by the way where is the link for LT?

Taxes will go up.
Everyone is racist.
Taxes are higher in other towns per capita.
Did he mention everyone is racist and that it will hurt blacks in BR city?
That's all he's got.

that it will hurt blacks in BR city?
I asked you how SG would hurt blacks within BR? I don't think it would. If anything it would solidify their voting strength in the remaining EBR school district.
Posted on 1/11/14 at 6:49 pm to LSURussian
quote:I'm sorry. How could anyone get confused when you switch back and forth. First you say SG blacks, then you say BR city blacks. Then you say SG blacks are hurt. Why is it only about the blacks? Racist much? You should be embarrassed. It seems like you only care about the blacks. What about all other racial demographics you racist a-hole.
Please explain how it would hurt blacks if SG happened. I'm referring to BR city blacks. Of course. It would hurt SG area blacks. Their voting strength would be greatly diluted.
So, I responded with, along your lines of logic, the BR city whites would be hurt, it dilute their voting strength.
Should we all weep for them too?
It's ironic that you are telling others they are embarrassing themselves.... as you continue to prove that the only thing you really care about in this argument is race.
