Doesn't one of them have some atrocious graduation rate? Like 20%?

The problem with these types of closures is that it completely forgets about low income or non traditional students that can't pickup everything and move to a new city for college.

You would direct these students into the community colleges, where they could earn technical degrees or transfer after two years.

Yeah good luck finding finding the politicians with the balls to push for ANY school closings at all.
And the race pimps will scream bloody murder about any of the black ones being closed. Of all on the list, southern NO is the biggest joke

Close immediately:
Southern
Grambling

Scale back to CC:
SLU
Nichols

Merge:
NWSU w/LSUS & LSUA
Tech w/ULM

Give BRCC Southern's campus

Change ULL to U of Acadiana and stop this U of America BS

To be fair even after 26 years in LA I have never heard of Southern Shreveport.

Is it a four year school?

Tough shite. If you want to stay relatively close, go to Tech or Northwestern.

I agree on Southern Shreveport and Southern New Orleans. The rest should be made into Junior colleges.

I was about to say each is an hour in the S or E direction.

LSUS is a shite hole.

There is also BPCC for 2 year diplomas.

No idea. I just think it is ridiculous to pull all public higher education out of the third largest city.

And because they have the transfer credits and two year degrees they suddenly have the ability to drive or live away from home.
