What's your combat experience, Pecker?
Is there any answer I could give that would change the innate physical qualities of women, as it relates to combat readiness and qualifications?

I have all the respect in the world for people like Duckworth and Leigh Ann Hester...it doesn't mean that they belong in line infantry units for a variety of reasons.
I echo this. As I've said on here and in other places - some of my best military supervisors and subordinates have been female - I've not had the best of luck with female peers, but that has actually improved lately (and I'm maxed out and no longer a threat to anyone else's career).
But, they have no place in combat units or special operations. They have no place at SFQC, BUDS, Ranger School, etc. It's not prejudice - it is biology.

BUDS and ranger school are not the same thing. You might be thinking of RASP
And I said a woman that truly earns a TAB could give BUDS a valiant effort

I would love to know how many people posting in this thread ever served in the Infantry?
The level of ignorance suggests not many.

There's a retired (I think) Brigadeer General who was a POW in Desert Storm and was most certainly raped while in captivity.
IIRC, it was the Iraqi Government (under Saddam Hussein) that she attempted to bring a lawsuit against.

Pretty sure the fact that Tammy Duckworth only has maybe a combined 3/4 of total leg left across her entire body would prevent her from completing Ranger school.

I served in the Cavalry & Armor. I can state for fact neither are a place where women should serve. Period. As for infantry, I'd imagine the same is true there as well. And I'd throw artillery in there as well.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I doubt your work environment is the same as theirs.

I only mentioned it because I wanted him to know my opinion is based on real life experience and not just my opinion of something I know nothing about.

he doesn't and will not care about your opinion. it's a message board. just a little advice, there's some stuff you should keep off a public forum. it's alright to mention it once, but mention it multiple times and you come off like you want attention

I don't think that is the point. The exceptional 1 or 2 out of, perhaps, 10,000 women who are physically capable of doing this is not sufficient justification for this social experiment.
It is towards no good end. It is not being done to improve our national security. Even if unintended, these social experiments are/will weaken our ability to defend ourselves.

People don't understand why women can't be in front line positions. Stressful combat situations. Women's thought processes revolve around emotions. They're emotional beings...it is part of their nature. Anyone who honestly thinks that a woman would be able to knowingly send a squad of young kids into a firefight that she knew most wouldn't come out of is foolish. On the other hand, men are objective thinkers. We attain results. When tasked with something, those of us with a pair get it done, regardless of how we have to do it. That's the kind of people you need up front and in these elite groups.
If they're able to completely separate themselves from their emotions, then more power to them. But I don't see them being able to deny their own genetics.
Do people like you have daughters? When they're growing up, do you repeatedly tell them that they're incapable of doing anything requiring rational thought?
And I assume that you believe women are irrationally emotional, but at the same time believe that men can't be around women in combat, because they can't control their sexual urges. Clearly the men are the rational ones.

The quality of ranger school will continue to be degraded inch by inch no doubt

If we never gave our opinions on matters this site would fold within days. People giving their opinion on things is hte lifeblood of this site.

This is not really that public of a forum. My real name is not Darth Vader.

I know some on here know about my past in the military, other's don't. And like I said, I only mentioned it to let whoever read that post know my views on the subject come from experience and not just some feeling or whatever. My past experience has relevance to the conversation. You should be able to see this from the other posts where people are making statements about the service (or lack thereof) of others who are posting in this thread.
I'm not looking for attention and if that's what you're thinking then that's just you looking to put a negative spin on my intentions.

I served in the Infantry, and I agree, women do not belong there, and the overwhelming number of people who think otherwise never served. Real easy for some to have that opinion when they have no knowledge of what it actually takes to serve in one of the combat arms.
Sad to see our Country continuing to water-down and weaken what was at one time the best military in the world in the name of "inclusiveness" and "diversity."
