Is the first two weeks in July slow for anyone? It's almost the equivalent of the last two weeks in December. People getting in last minute vacations before the kids go back to school, some people take the whole week off for the 4th, etc.

Not at my job (food distribution) - we're peaking this week and it will go down until mid-November.

Is this the new PC term for burger flipper?

Like how "secretary" became "executive assistant"?

It's extremely slow here. July is usually poppin' for the car sales industry, but it's been slow so far.

That's why so many people take off one or both of these weeks.

Work wise it is kinda slow in some aspects.

Peds floor in general has much less patients in the summertime(just the way it is).

However, since my hospital also has a burn unit, we get sent to the peds burn floor quite a bit in the summertime. Summers are super busy for burn units, ESP 4th of July holiday. All kinds of burn injuries increase in the summer months. People burning themselves improperly setting off fireworks, campfires, bbqs, etc. Kids home all day during the summer and get bored so get into more mischief(playing with lighters, etc). Kids at home and pulling pots of hot water, ramen, grits accidentally onto themselves. Cars breaking down more cause of the heat and adults burning themselves while doing car repairs(carburetors exploding, etc).
