We sat in Agave for a little while last night and they had this band playing that was made up of what looked like high school kids, and they were really good. They played a bunch of covers from oldies to new music and a couple of their originals. The lead singer mentioned that he was on The Voice so I guess people know who he is.

You live in Louisiana?

If I was visiting for FIL, I'd want to try to stay at the Juliet hotel downtown and just walk downstairs to it.

No, Central Arkansas but I enjoy traveling and seeing things like this. I also like Cajun food but is hard to find here.

I think I know who you're talking about. My sister lives in Laffy and has talked about him before.

We just went down for a few hours yesterday to visit her and get some good food and beer and listen to music. It was a lot of fun, going to try to get a hotel room next year and go for a couple days.

I burned myself out last night too quickly. Wanted to stay and watch Balkan Beat Box but I was exhausted and they didn't start until 10 or 10:30. I would suggest building in some time for naps.

Per the Internet, bacon jam looks easy to make. Looks like I found my sandwiches for Kentucky Derby.

So you just eat overpriced food and listen to shitty music? Yeah, sounds like a great time...

well there is also the chance of getting shot or having a fist fight with a local dressed in a tapout suit that confused the shitty music and foreigners as entrants in a kumite.

other than that the brisket fries from blanchards is pretty good.
