The downfall of WWL was a series of unfortunate events beginning with the retirement of Mike Early... Early brought in talent that many could work at the network level.
The next unfortunate event was CBS losing broadcast rights of the NFC which meant no Saints games...
Then WVUE switched from ABC to Fox and began picking off the best talent in the New Orleans market.
WWL could never recover hiring on-air hacks like Woltering to replace Snell early on and the death spiral deepened year after year with WVUE bringing in better talent.
I can't get through a whole broadcast of WWL anymore without feeling like I watched a local version of MSNBC...

Pretty sure there has never been a duo in New Orleans that could compare to this dream team.

If Kristi Coleman ever decides to make a full 90 degree turn again when she's doing the traffic, it might be over for WWL though.

They don't let men who look like Phil Johnson on tv news anymore.

And now everybody's favorite traffic repoter/smoke show Tamica is out! FWIW, I've heard she'll be starring in a reality show.
Tamica Lee
After 4 AMAZING years at WWLTV I am saying goodbye on Friday. It's bittersweet because I have such a great love for WWLTV, but as everything in life, its time to move on. I have so many things going on in my life and much more in store so stay tuned my friends! Will not be gone for long....

I'm sure they are busy combing the streets of Kalamazoo to find the next on air talent today.
