If one of the big ISPs gave an opt out or declined to do it they would make bank.

I would imagine Rand is fricking IRATE over this
Yeah, he was so irate over it that he abstained and didn't vote against the Senate version of the bill.
So brave.

ISP's have access to your entire internet history
No single ISP has access to my entire history.
And you're avoiding my point, in that you can't avoid using their products. If you're an Apple person, every device you use is connected, no matter what ISP you're using. Home, work, friends homes, free hot spots, cellular network. Every bit of it is tracked by Apple. Apple will have more history than any single ISP.
The same goes for google. If you use an Android phone, an android tablet, whatever, they will have more browsing history than any single ISP.

I sure don't see eye to eye with the Ophthalmologist on everything but he may be the only one in the Senate that is principled. I once though Cruz was , well I guess he still is for the most part. They boyh got sold down the river by Thier party when it came to running for the executive office. Both would have been better than tump.

Or they could just sell your information for more bank.
There is currently not enough competition in the ISP market to incentivize not selling customers data. I've lived in multiple apartments in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and D.C. At each apartment i only had one ISP available.

It's laughable that you think Charter, Verizon, and ATT would share their data to fill the gaps.
Honestly, they should, though, to put them on equal footing with Apple and Google.

Is this for targeted marketing or something else? What is the value of it. We already have targeted marketing via google searches and shite. What's the value of some dudes porn hub playlist?
ETA: I'm against this and all about individual privacy but I don't see the value in this information.
Eta2: maybe it's just me but I pay ZERO attention to adds on google, Facebook, YouTube, and tigerdroppings. Sorry Chicken.

It's laughable that you diminish the value of your history with just one ISP
